Water Quality Analysis - Results and Discussion Planning
In class today, we will work on finalizing our water quality analysis project. We will focus on outlining the results and discussion section of the poster. At this point in the project, you should have all our main analysis completed. Now it is time to focus on what the results mean.
Students will spend class time outlining the results and discussions, focusing on
- The results you will include in the final poster
- The graphs and tables you will include from your data analysis
- The explanation of the results in the discussion section.
For the Results:
- Add a copy of each table and figure you would like to include in the results section.
- Add a title for each figure that would like to include. Make the title descriptive, meaning that it tells the audience the main results.
For the Discussion Use the poster guidelines for the details of what to include in the discussion section. In general, you should include:
- A brief summary of the results
- A biological explanation of the results (what do the results mean?)
- An explanation for why the study is important
- A description of what you would do next to continue the study.
Homework
- Complete the Poster: Results and Discussion Part 1 assignment in Moodle by the end of class.
